dc.description.sponsorship | The main purpose of the study was to investigate factors affecting credit risk in Islamic banks. A case study in First community bank was conducted to enhance fulfillment of this research question. The objectives of this research were to determine how loans characteristic, borrower characteristic, Islamic banks characteristics and ownership structures affect credit risks. The study adopted a descriptive research design whereby the respondents were expected to fill questionnaires strategized on the bases of the research question at hand. The target population for the study included 350 individuals, which comprised of 200 staff and 150 customers from the First community bank. Data collected was presented for sorting, analysis and presentation using various modes. Qualitative and quantitative data analysis was used. Final presentations included graphs, charts and explanations as obtained from the data collected. The researcher sort to validate and ascertain and authenticate the data that prepared a complete report based purely on the information emanation from the research. Based on the outcome of this study the research was concluded and termed as a success since it helped answer the research questions established. Recommendations were made and suggestions for further studies also were given. | en_US |
